The Historic Dockyard Chatham has been producing rope since 1618.  The main ropery building, the Double Ropehouse was built during the Napoleonic Wars and the spinning, closing and laying processes still use the original 1811 equipment.  As the last remaining original naval ropeyard in operation The Historic Dockyard Chatham still plays an important part in the production of both natural and synthetic rope.

    Non-standard, bulky and heavy items or items outside of Australia Post guidelines may incur additional costs. Mr Wares will contact you and quote any additional shipping charges. Mr Wares will fully refund purchases if additional shipping costs exceed the purchaser’s expectations.
